Montreal-based tenor David Menzies has been praised as a “powerhouse performer” with “exceptionally clear control of diction” in performances of music from the baroque to contemporary.
Season highlights include Basilio (Manitoba Opera); Almaviva (Brott Opera); Sentry (Silent Night, Montreal Opera); Manasseh (Judith, Pax Christi); Tacmas (Les Indes Galantes), Belmonte (Die Entführung, Baroque Mont-Royal); and B minor Mass (Ensemble Caprice).
Past performances include appearances with the Montreal, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay and Saguenay Symphonies, Opera York, Appassionata, Choeur St-Laurent, Choeur Classique, Aradia Ensemble, La Chapelle de Québec and the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec.
David has a Doctorate in Music (McGill University) and received training at Tanglewood and Montreal Opera’s Atelier lyrique.
